Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait of Mrs. Guthrie, Bust Length, In A Dark Blue Dress by Robin Craig Guthrie for GBP 60.00 (€ 89.65). This price was achieved in the auction The Sunday Sale - The Collection of the late Anne, Lady Hollenden at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Robin Craig Guthrie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ballerina resting in October 2005 with an auction result of GBP 504.00 (€ 743.25).
