Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Reclining Nude by Roderic O'Conor was sold in the Irish Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2019. The price achieved of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 55,776.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Roderic O'Conor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Maisons Rouges à Pont-Aven in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 450,000.00 (€ 527,718.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Reclining Nude von Roderic O'Conor wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Irish Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 55.776,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Roderic O'Conor auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Maisons Rouges à Pont-Aven im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 450.000,00 (€ 527.718,31).
