Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2009 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Orientalist Sale, which included the work Trois Femmes Dans Un Intérieur by Roger Chapelain-Midy. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 4,375.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roger Chapelain-Midy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fenêtre À Venise, which sold at auction in March 2007 for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,831.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2009 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Orientalist Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Trois Femmes Dans Un Intérieur von Roger Chapelain-Midy zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 4.375,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Roger Chapelain-Midy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fenêtre À Venise beobachtet, die im März 2007 für GBP 6.000,00 (€ 8.831,31) versteigert wurde.
