This artwork by Rong Dakuai achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Boating Along The River sold for HKD 37,500.00 (€ 3,555.42) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rong Dakuai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Small Bird, which sold at auction in May 2018 for HKD 75,000.00 (€ 8,194.09).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Rong Dakuai erzielte im November 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit Boating Along The River für HKD 37.500,00 (€ 3.555,42) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Rong Dakuai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Small Bird beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für HKD 75.000,00 (€ 8.194,09) versteigert wurde.
