Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2016 Christies in London held the auction Modern British & Irish Art, which included the work Standing Male Nude by Rowan Gillespie. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 4,103.45). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rowan Gillespie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work When Hope And History Rhyme in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 161,000.00 (€ 225,198.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Standing Male Nude von Rowan Gillespie zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.250,00 (€ 4.103,45) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rowan Gillespie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit When Hope And History Rhyme im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 161.000,00 (€ 225.198,79).
