Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Bonhams in Sydney held the auction Asian Art, which included the work Calligraphy in Clerical Style by Ruan Yuan. The price achieved of AUD 6,150.00 (€ 5,112.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ruan Yuan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nine-character Couplet in Running Script in May 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,350,000.00 (€ 133,877.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Bonhams in Sydney die Auktion Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy in Clerical Style von Ruan Yuan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 6.150,00 (€ 5.112,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ruan Yuan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nine-character Couplet in Running Script im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.350.000,00 (€ 133.877,43).
