Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Nu debout dans l'atelier by Rudolf Levy was auctioned at Bonhams in London in March 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 10,200.00 (€ 11,982.37). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rudolf Levy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stilleben mit Früchten und Tonkrug, which sold at auction in November 2015 for EUR 34,720.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Nu debout dans l'atelier von Rudolf Levy im März 2021 bei Bonhams in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 10.200,00 (€ 11.982,37) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Rudolf Levy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Stilleben mit Früchten und Tonkrug beobachtet, die im November 2015 für EUR 34.720,00 versteigert wurde.
