Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Niña by Rufino Tamayo was sold in the Latin American Sale auction at Christies in New York in May 2011. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 32,500.00 (€ 22,607.12). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rufino Tamayo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work America in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 6,802,500.00 (€ 5,358,830.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Niña von Rufino Tamayo wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Latin American Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 32.500,00 (€ 22.607,12) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rufino Tamayo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit America im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.802.500,00 (€ 5.358.830,94).
