Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian Mother And Child by Russell Drysdale was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Sothebys in Sydney in November 2007. The price achieved of AUD 408,000.00 (€ 245,777.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 350,000.00 – 450,000.00. Admittedly, works by Russell Drysdale have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian rocky Mccormack in August 2008 with an auction result of AUD 1,890,000.00 (€ 1,103,283.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Australian Mother And Child von Russell Drysdale wurde im November 2007 in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Sothebys in Sydney versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 408.000,00 (€ 245.777,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 350.000,00 – 450.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Russell Drysdale auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian rocky Mccormack im August 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 1.890.000,00 (€ 1.103.283,80).
