Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jessie at 6, 1988 by Sally Mann was sold in the Photographs auction at Christies in London in May 2011. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,288.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sally Mann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Candy Cigarette in October 2014 with an auction result of USD 257,000.00 (€ 205,107.74).
