The work Family at Seaside by Sally Michel Avery was sold in the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction at Christies in New York in March 2010. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,006.95), 16% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sally Michel Avery achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blue Mug in May last year with an auction result of USD 88,200.00 (€ 82,191.78).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.006,95) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sally Michel Avery erzielen.
