In November 2013 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European & Orientalist Art, which included the work L'estret de Valldemossa, Mallorca by Santiago Rusiñol i Prats. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 104,500.00 (€ 125,751.76), 49% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Santiago Rusiñol i Prats - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Glorieta de cipreses del Jardín del Príncipe, Aranjuez (The gardens at Aranjuez), which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 216,000.00 (€ 320,533.14).

Im November 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European & Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit L'estret de Valldemossa, Mallorca von Santiago Rusiñol i Prats zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 104.500,00 (€ 125.751,76) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Santiago Rusiñol i Prats mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Glorieta de cipreses del Jardín del Príncipe, Aranjuez (The gardens at Aranjuez) beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für GBP 216.000,00 (€ 320.533,14) versteigert wurde.
