Auction result well in line with expectations

In December 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Refuge: recognising 50 years of supporting women and children against domestic abuse, which included this untitled work by Sarah Ball. The price achieved of GBP 956.25 (€ 1,140.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sarah Ball achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Elliot in March this year with an auction result of GBP 120,650.00 (€ 137,262.68).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im Dezember 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Refuge: recognising 50 years of supporting women and children against domestic abuse durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Sarah Ball zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 956,25 (€ 1.140,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sarah Ball erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Elliot im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 120.650,00 (€ 137.262,68).
