The work Self Portrait In A Bear Skin by Seán Keating was sold in the Irish Art auction at Sothebys in London in September 2016. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 112,500.00 (€ 130,288.97), 61% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Seán Keating; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Feast of Bridget sold at auction in May 2003 with the realized price of GBP 139,650.00 (€ 194,567.61).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 112.500,00 (€ 130.288,97) und damit 61% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Seán Keating; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Feast of Bridget im Mai 2003 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 139.650,00 (€ 194.567,61).
