Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Autumn, Market Scene In The Heart Of A Village by Sebastian Vrancx. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 161,000.00 (€ 119,259.26) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sebastian Vrancx achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Four Seasons in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 1,650,500.00 (€ 2,339,854.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Autumn, Market Scene In The Heart Of A Village von Sebastian Vrancx zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 161.000,00 (€ 119.259,26) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sebastian Vrancx erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Four Seasons im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.650.500,00 (€ 2.339.854,64).
