Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 5,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sebastian-Jacques Leclerc - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Scène Galantesébastien Jacques Leclerc, Called Leclerc Des Gobelins ; Scène Galante ; Oil On Canvas, which sold at auction in June 2012 for EUR 13,750.00.

Die Arbeit Le Repos Des Chasseurs von Sebastian-Jacques Leclerc kam im Juni 2008 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 5.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
