Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Portrait of a young maiden with red wild flowers by Sarkis Diranian. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,779.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sarkis Diranian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Turkish His Master'S Servant, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 15,105.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a young maiden with red wild flowers von Sarkis Diranian zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.779,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Sarkis Diranian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Turkish His Master'S Servant beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 11.875,00 (€ 15.105,52) versteigert wurde.
