This artwork by Shafic Abboud achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March 2020. In the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction, the work Portrait sold for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,349.58) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shafic Abboud achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Villa des Iris in November this year with an auction result of GBP 381,400.00 (€ 441,959.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shafic Abboud erzielte im März 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East wurde die Arbeit Portrait für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.349,58) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shafic Abboud erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Villa des Iris im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 381.400,00 (€ 441.959,66).
