Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Unsteady Eddy by Shara Hughes was auctioned at Phillips in London in March this year. The price achieved of GBP 533,400.00 (€ 606,845.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shara Hughes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spins from Swiss in May last year with an auction result of USD 2,940,000.00 (€ 2,739,726.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Unsteady Eddy von Shara Hughes kam im März diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 533.400,00 (€ 606.845,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shara Hughes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Spins from Swiss im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.940.000,00 (€ 2.739.726,03).
