This artwork by Shen Zhongqiang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Sydney in August this year. In the Asian Art including Paintings from the Wong Family Collection auction, the work Chrysanthemum sold for AUD 1,476.00 (€ 880.78) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 800.00. Admittedly, works by Shen Zhongqiang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Autumn Chrysanthemums in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,268.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 85 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shen Zhongqiang erzielte im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Sydney einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Art including Paintings from the Wong Family Collection wurde die Arbeit Chrysanthemum für AUD 1.476,00 (€ 880,78) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shen Zhongqiang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Autumn Chrysanthemums im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.268,59).
