Auction result well in line with expectations

However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Simon Jacques Rochard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Arthur Wellesley, Duke of Wellington (1769-1852) in red coat with gold-embroidered collar, gold epaulette and lacing, white waistcoat and frilled cravat, wearing the jewel of the Order of the Golden Fleece, the blue moiré sash and breast star of the, which sold at auction in May 2004 for GBP 5,377.50 (€ 8,068.23)
