Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2005 Christies in New York held the auction THE HOUSE SALE, which included the work Egham (H. 15) by Francis Seymour Haden. The »bidding war« ended at USD 360.00 (€ 305.34), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Francis Seymour Haden have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Battersea Reach (Schniederman 48) in October 2001 with an auction result of GBP 1,116.25 (€ 1,804.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2005 führte Christies in New York die Auktion THE HOUSE SALE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Egham (H. 15) von Francis Seymour Haden zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 360,00 (€ 305,34) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francis Seymour Haden auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Battersea Reach (Schniederman 48) im Oktober 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.116,25 (€ 1.804,02).
