Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Road up to Cagnes by Herbert Hughes-Stanton was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 411.25 (€ 590.36) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Herbert Hughes-Stanton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Near Montreuil in February 2013 with an auction result of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,194.28).

Die Arbeit Road up to Cagnes von Herbert Hughes-Stanton kam im November 2003 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 411,25 (€ 590,36) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
