Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Christies in London held the auction British and European Art: Online, which included the work Mount's Bay, Cornwall by Herbert James Gunn. The price achieved of GBP 8,820.00 (€ 9,956.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Herbert James Gunn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Grand Bassin, Le Jardin Des Tuileries, Paris in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 65,725.00 (€ 94,545.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion British and European Art: Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mount's Bay, Cornwall von Herbert James Gunn zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.820,00 (€ 9.956,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Herbert James Gunn auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Grand Bassin, Le Jardin Des Tuileries, Paris im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 65.725,00 (€ 94.545,06).
