Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work The Hills Near Ronda by Herbert James Gunn. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,641.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herbert James Gunn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grand Bassin, Le Jardin Des Tuileries, Paris in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 65,725.00 (€ 94,545.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Hills Near Ronda von Herbert James Gunn zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.641,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herbert James Gunn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grand Bassin, Le Jardin Des Tuileries, Paris im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 65.725,00 (€ 94.545,06).
