This artwork by Sophia Vari achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in May 2007. In the The Greek Sale auction, the work Les Amants sold for GBP 26,400.00 (€ 38,849.39) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Sophia Vari; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Temps Suspendu sold at auction in May 2018 with the realized price of USD 68,750.00 (€ 58,911.74).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Sophia Vari erzielte im Mai 2007 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Greek Sale wurde die Arbeit Les Amants für GBP 26.400,00 (€ 38.849,39) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00.
