Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Greek mountain Village by Spyros Papaloukas was sold in the 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective auction at Sothebys in London in November 2018. The price achieved of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 42,298.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Spyros Papaloukas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek boatyard At Pantokrator Monastery, Mount Athos, which sold at auction in November 2017 for GBP 141,250.00 (€ 160,339.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Greek mountain Village von Spyros Papaloukas wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 42.298,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Spyros Papaloukas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greek boatyard At Pantokrator Monastery, Mount Athos beobachtet, die im November 2017 für GBP 141.250,00 (€ 160.339,76) versteigert wurde.
