In May 2008 Christies in London held the auction Nordic Art, which included the work Sommarnatt (Summer night) by Stefan Johansson. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 25,700.00 (€ 32,691.52), 71% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Stefan Johansson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Bron i dimma" (The Bridge in Fog) in December 2015 with an auction result of SEK 1,750,000.00 (€ 190,648.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 71 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Nordic Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sommarnatt (Summer night) von Stefan Johansson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 25.700,00 (€ 32.691,52) und damit 71% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stefan Johansson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Bron i dimma" (The Bridge in Fog) im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 1.750.000,00 (€ 190.648,31).
