Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The penitent Magdalen by Stefano Pozzi was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,290.00 (€ 5,323.13) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Stefano Pozzi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A choir of angels: a modello for a ceiling decoration, which sold at auction in October 2008 for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 19,119.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The penitent Magdalen von Stefano Pozzi kam im April 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.290,00 (€ 5.323,13) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Stefano Pozzi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A choir of angels: a modello for a ceiling decoration beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 19.119,62) versteigert wurde.
