A top price for Stefano Ussi - as previously expected
The work Vers la Mecque by Stefano Ussi was sold in the From Constantinople to Tangier, an Italian Private Collection auction at Artcurial in Paris in December 2018. The price achieved of EUR 123,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Vers la Mecque is the most expensive artwork by Stefano Ussi that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Vers la Mecque von Stefano Ussi wurde im Dezember 2018 in der Auktion From Constantinople to Tangier, an Italian Private Collection bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 123.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Vers la Mecque das teuerste Kunstwerk von Stefano Ussi, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
