Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Polish at The Fountain by Stepan Vladislavovich Bakalowicz was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,656.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Stepan Vladislavovich Bakalowicz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Feeding The Doves in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 96,500.00 (€ 135,124.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Polish at The Fountain von Stepan Vladislavovich Bakalowicz kam im April 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 32.656,72) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stepan Vladislavovich Bakalowicz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Feeding The Doves im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 96.500,00 (€ 135.124,97).
