Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled Collage Ja #21 Berlin by Stephen Antonakos for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,481.24). This price was achieved in the auction The Greek Sale at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Stephen Antonakos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Red and blue incomplete circle", which sold at auction in April 2021 for SEK 95,000.00 (€ 9,342.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled Collage Ja #21 Berlin von Stephen Antonakos für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.481,24) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Greek Sale bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Stephen Antonakos mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Red and blue incomplete circle" beobachtet, die im April 2021 für SEK 95.000,00 (€ 9.342,06) versteigert wurde.
