Auction result well in line with expectations
The work I'M Codepending On You - 2005-2006 by Steve Powers was sold in the Don’t believe the Hype auction at Artcurial in Paris in May 2019. The price achieved of EUR 3,900.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Steve Powers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled – 2001, which sold at auction in October 2019 for EUR 12,195.00.

Die Arbeit I'M Codepending On You - 2005-2006 von Steve Powers wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion Don’t believe the Hype bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.900,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Steve Powers mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled – 2001 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für EUR 12.195,00 versteigert wurde.
