Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Story by Svetlana Kopystiansky was auctioned at Phillips in London in October 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 16,800.00 (€ 24,125.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Svetlana Kopystiansky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Seascape, which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 57,600.00 (€ 82,717.39).

Die Arbeit Story von Svetlana Kopystiansky kam im Oktober 2007 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 16.800,00 (€ 24.125,91) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Svetlana Kopystiansky mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Seascape beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für GBP 57.600,00 (€ 82.717,39) versteigert wurde.
