Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Combat, 1959 by Sylvestre Kaballa was sold in the African Modern Art auction at Artcurial in Paris in March 2021. The price achieved of EUR 5,200.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sylvestre Kaballa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sans Titre, 1957, which sold at auction in March 2021 for EUR 16,900.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Le Combat, 1959 von Sylvestre Kaballa wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion African Modern Art bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.200,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Sylvestre Kaballa mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sans Titre, 1957 beobachtet, die im März 2021 für EUR 16.900,00 versteigert wurde.
