Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Bonhams in Paris held the auction MASHREQ / MAGHREBArt Moderne et Contemporain du Monde Arabe - Curated by Claude Lemand - Vente au profit des Artistes et de l'Institut du monde arabe, which included the work L'Explosion by Tagreed Darghouth. It changed hands for a price of EUR 11,475.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 9,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tagreed Darghouth - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Yellow Sun II (from the Rainbow of Death series), which sold at auction in April 2012 for USD 32,500.00 (€ 24,567.24).

Im Oktober 2021 führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion MASHREQ / MAGHREBArt Moderne et Contemporain du Monde Arabe - Curated by Claude Lemand - Vente au profit des Artistes et de l'Institut du monde arabe durch, in der auch die Arbeit L'Explosion von Tagreed Darghouth zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 11.475,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 9.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tagreed Darghouth mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Yellow Sun II (from the Rainbow of Death series) beobachtet, die im April 2012 für USD 32.500,00 (€ 24.567,24) versteigert wurde.
