The work Calligraphy Couplet in Xingshu by Tai Jingnong was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. It achieved a price of HKD 107,100.00 (€ 11,913.39), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 34%. Admittedly, works by Tai Jingnong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in Official Script in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 937,500.00 (€ 108,425.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet in Xingshu von Tai Jingnong kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 107.100,00 (€ 11.913,39) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 34%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tai Jingnong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy in Official Script im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 937.500,00 (€ 108.425,23).
