The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,256.41), 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tamara de Lempicka achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait de Marjorie Ferry in February 2020 with an auction result of GBP 16,380,000.00 (€ 18,984,457.14).

Die Arbeit Portrait d'homme coiffé d'une chéchia von Tamara de Lempicka wurde im Februar 2015 in der Auktion Interiors bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.256,41) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tamara de Lempicka erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait de Marjorie Ferry im Februar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.380.000,00 (€ 18.984.457,14).
