The work Venus And Adonis by Theodoor van Thulden was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in December 2015. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 47,500.00 (€ 64,502.72), 36% above the upper estimate. With this result, Venus And Adonis is even the most expensive work of art by Theodoor van Thulden that we have observed at auctions so far.
