However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Theodor Baierl - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Decameron, The Garden of the Villa, which sold at auction in July 2021 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,317.68).

Die Arbeit Chasing Fortune von Theodor Baierl kam im März 2017 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.254,14) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 46%. Für andere Arbeiten von Theodor Baierl mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Decameron, The Garden of the Villa beobachtet, die im Juli 2021 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 29.317,68) versteigert wurde.
