Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A woman in a South American sugar plantation by Théodor Ohlsen was sold in the 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART auction at Christies in London in March 2004. The price achieved of GBP 1,792.50 (€ 2,683.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Théodor Ohlsen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Coming ashore near Valparaiso, Chile in April 2010 with an auction result of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,227.30).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.792,50 (€ 2.683,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden.
