Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Off to the fishing grounds by Theodor Alexander Weber was sold in the Maritime Art auction at Christies in London in November 2012. The price achieved of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,309.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Theodor Alexander Weber have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ships entering a Port in a Storm in October 2006 with an auction result of USD 16,800.00 (€ 13,152.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Off to the fishing grounds von Theodor Alexander Weber wurde im November 2012 in der Auktion Maritime Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.309,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Theodor Alexander Weber auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ships entering a Port in a Storm im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.800,00 (€ 13.152,74).
