It achieved a price of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 62,836.26), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 61%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Thomas Seddon; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Arabs at Prayer in the Desert sold at auction in February 2003 with the realized price of GBP 65,725.00 (€ 95,956.43).
