In January 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work A View of Nahant by Thomas Chambers for USD 14,400.00 (€ 11,035.33). This price was achieved in the auction Important American Furniture, Folk Art, Silver and Prints at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Chambers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tarrytown, New York, which sold at auction in January 2020 for USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,551.43).
