Auction result well in line with expectations
The work View overlooking Rio de Janeiro from the Tijuca forest; A mediterranean costal scene; An Italian landscape; and Lauterbrun Valley, Switzerland by Thomas Ender was sold in the Exploration and Travel with the Polar Sale Including The Amundsen Collection auction at Christies in London in September 2006. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,726.96) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Ender - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Panoramic View of Florence, which sold at auction in June 2007 for USD 20,400.00 (€ 15,088.76).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 4.560,00 (€ 6.726,96) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00.
