In November 2021 Christies in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Keith Farm, Chilmark by Thomas Hart Benton. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,830,000.00 (€ 4,279,259.32), 61% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Thomas Hart Benton; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Nashaquitsa sold at auction in November last year with the realized price of USD 5,580,000.00 (€ 5,405,405.41).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.830.000,00 (€ 4.279.259,32) und damit 61% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Thomas Hart Benton; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Nashaquitsa im November letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 5.580.000,00 (€ 5.405.405,41).
