Admittedly, works by Thomas Mertens have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life With Fruit And Oysters On A Table in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 39,195.48).
