Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Going for a ride; and An afternoon walk by Thomas Ross was sold in the Sporting Art, Wildlife & Dogs auction at Christies in London in November 2007. The price achieved of GBP 500.00 (€ 700.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Ross achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of John Thurloe (1616-1668) in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 16,628.07).

Die Arbeit Going for a ride; and An afternoon walk von Thomas Ross wurde im November 2007 in der Auktion Sporting Art, Wildlife & Dogs bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 500,00 (€ 700,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Ross erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of John Thurloe (1616-1668) im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 16.628,07).
