In the Sporting Art auction, the work Harry Cooke Cushing, Iv, Rome changed hands for USD 5,377.50 (€ 4,268.87) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Thomas Sherwood La Fontaine have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Polo Match in December 2005 with an auction result of USD 31,200.00 (€ 26,346.90).
