Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sheep In The Isle Of Skye by Thomas Sidney Cooper was sold in the European Art: Paintings & Sculpture auction at Sothebys in London in June 2020. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 13,766.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Sidney Cooper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reposing on God's Acre in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 171,650.00 (€ 250,603.59).
